31st May to 6TH June

The 2nd of June saw me taking Choccy and Paddy for a nice early mornings walk along the banks of the River Crouch again. We were there early doors as I wanted to have the boys back home before the sun got up too high as it was forecast for being a hot day. We walked to the right of Fambridge steps this time and wandered along for until the pathway veers away from the river a little, then we had a wee sit down and cuppa before making our way back again. Beautiful mornings walk in glorious weather……

On the 3rd I didn’t actually go for a walk but as I was driving along the seafront at Southend on Sea I felt the urge to have a wee paddle. Fortunately the tide was in so I parked in a carpark near the Coastguard centre at Shoebury and proceeded to ‘flip flop’ my way down the shingle to the water. Whilst standing in the cool waters of the Thames I noticed that there was quite a few whitish coloured jellyfish drifting about in the tide, now that’s nothing unusual as you can see them every year but this time I noticed a few bright blue ones floating around with. I’ve written more about HERE.

The 4th, again, saw me up and out early to beat the heat, this time just a short walk around part of Cherry Orchard Country Park. It was a only a short but enjoyable stroll round a couple of fields, just enough to give the boys a good run, then it was back home, via Costa Coffee, to crack on with some work in my garden.
