On the 16th I was feeling up for a challenge so decided to walk the entire perimeter of Canvey Island, a total of 14 miles. I won’t go into detail here as I have written about it more somewhere else on my blog so click HERE if you would like to read how I got on and see lots more pictures.
On the morning of the 20th I took the boys for a run along the beach at Shoebury East Beach. The temperature was in the minuses but we enjoyed ourselves, with the boys chasing their ball into the freezing cold water and not giving a care. I stopped at the nearby bakers, Garrison Bakery, and bought a loaf of their extremely tasty sour dough bread and when at home I enjoyed a couple of slices toasted with some scrambled eggs and chilli to help warm me up as payment for being in the cold for so long.
