Early morning on the 14th saw me and choccy having a wee fish on the banks of the River Crouch at South Fambridge. Whiting and maybe a thornback ray were the target species but I only managed a couple of rattles on the rod tips. It was only a short session before work so i only took the one rod and a pocket full of tackle and some frozen squid and mackerel. It was really foggy while we were there and it did not lift until later that afternoon.

On the 18th I took the boys for a nice walk over at the Secret Fields for our mornings wander. I did not feel like walking much as I was a bit under the weather so I opted to sit on the log pile for 30 minutes whilst I drunk my coffee. The boys spent that time exploring around the logs and through the bushes nearby, they enjoyed themselves even though they did not do much running.
