Early morning on the 16th I took the boys for a very chilly walk around The Secret fields. Heavy frost carpeted everything and we all needed to wear our warm gear to stop us from getting cold, if I remember rightly the temperature in the van was reading -6.5 degrees as we pulled into the lay-by. The fields looked beautiful with their frost covering and I had to salute the morning with a sip, or three, of my coffee in their honour.
On the morning of the 17th Sharon and I took the boys for a run at Danbury Common. The snow was still there, we had actually missed all the snow, in my local area, the country had received, and the boys loved it. We walked around the Common area before heading off through the woodlands on a circular route before popping back out onto the Common and returning to the van. I have visited here a few times over the past couple of years but have not really explored it properly so must do so in the coming new year.
