On the 9th I took the boys for an early morning walk at Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park. Its nice and local and we all enjoy a good stroll around this large country park. As per usual a good scattering of bird life was seen and heard in various areas of our walk, the boys especially like swimming along with the ducks on the lake. In one area there is a small copse of Hazel and it has recently been worked so that was good to see. Obviously I enjoyed a coffee in the warmth of the rising sun.
On the 13th Sharon and I took a drive to one of our favourite places to visit Nacton Country Park. This is a beautiful stretch of the River Orwell that you can walk along for miles, although I haven’t explored this area that well yet. We had a lovely couple of hours walking below the small ‘cliffs’ that have formed until our trip had to be cut short as my right knee started to give me a lot of pain so we hobbled back to the van.
