On the 9th we pointed the car North and set off for a weeks holiday in the Peak District. Flash, the highest village in the UK, on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border and inside the Peak District National Park was our location. Neither of us had ever visited the Peak District so we were both looking forward to our weeks holiday explore what it had to offer. After 6 hours of travelling, it only took that long as we had to regularly stop and let the boys out for a stretch of their legs and a wee, and we were trundling along the track towards our accommodation. What a place it was.
On the 10th we decided to just have a little drive around the area we were staying as we were both feeling a little under the weather, leftover symptoms from Covid a couple of weeks earlier. The scenery in the Peak District is absolutely stunning and I will be writing more about my exploration there elsewhere on my blog. Although we just chilled out, did some supply shopping and took a nice drive for best part of the day I did take a short walk to a gorgeous nearby stream during the evening once the temperatures had dropped.
