On the 2nd I took the boys for a good run over the ‘Secret Fields’ as it had been a couple of days since we ventured outdoors. The skies were bright blue and there was a nip in the air but we all enjoyed stretching our legs.
On the morning of the 4th the boys and I took a good hike, of just under 4.5 miles, from Wakering Marina. The weather was overcast and breezy but we had a great time. On the 6th we had a short wander along the beach at Shoebury. It was pretty windy and the boys enjoyed swimming in the choppy sea. I did not take many photos of this trip but did take a few videos of the boys swimming.
On the 8th we visited Shoebury East Beach at low water and walked a ways out across the mud as the tide was out. The skies were clear and the wind was cold as we wandered across the mudflats but we did not care. I love walking out at low water, something quite scary yet calming about walking where in a few hours you would be under water.
