The Common Toadflax can grow on waste land and roadside verges but prefers grassland and hedgerows. Flowering from June until November the flowers have a ‘snapdragon’ look about them and often are found in densely packed clumps. The flowers are a good food source to many varieties of bee as well as numerous other insects.
