28th November to 4th December

The 1st found me and the boys walking along the shores of the River thames at Shoebury East Beach again. I am really enjoying walking here this year, which is strange for me as I generally prefer places that are more remote and have more scope for distance walking. Anyways we enjoyed our time on the beach with me sipping my coffee whilst sat o a rock and the boys having a nice swim.

On the 4th I took the boys for a nice long walk across the fields and along the banks of Paglesham Creek. It was a little breezy and pretty chilly but I was dressed up warm and the boys don’t really feel the cold anyways, although it will be time soon to dress them up in their winter jackets just to make sure that they do not catch a chill. We walked for a couple of miles to a large expanse of marshland before turning ad heading back to the van and then home to get some breakfast. I saw lots of wildfowl drifting around on the shallow water, the tide was nearly out, at the bottom of the muddy creeks, and could here lots of geese calling in the distance further around towards Paglesham marina.
