On the 25th it was the usual first light walk over Cherry Orchard Country Park for me and the boys. If you read my diary pieces regularly you will know that I walk here quite a lot and that is because I live roughly a mile away from the place. Fortunately for me it is a beautiful park to spend some time in and it does stretch for some distance so you can easily get the miles in following the footpaths. Anyways it was a cold clear morning but instead of walking my usual route I opted to go through a couple of small wooded areas. It was definitely worth the detour.
On the 28th it was a very chilly walk along the beach at Shoebury East Beach. The wind was blowing, the sky was clear and blue but it was freezing cold as the wind had a serious bite to it. The beach here is not very long but it is a lovely place to spend an hour or so as not many people visit there. We got to watch a few guys moving boats from their moorings, the tide was out, and storing them on the boatyards hard standing, which was quite interesting to watch. Lovely short walk on a fresh Sunday morning followed by a cheeky sausage muffin and coffee on the way home.
