On the 20th I was working in Hullbridge but arrived too early for my first appointment so I though I would go and enjoy my latte sitting on the quay down by the slipway. As always there were lots of swans drifting around on the river, which was at low water, they must be resident swans as every time I have visited here, or the other side of the river at South Woodham Ferrers, they are there. Anyways I sat for 15 mins drinking my coffee beneath the overcast skies before setting off to my first job of the day and then promptly getting rained on….
Our early Sunday mornings walk was at Cherry Orchard Country Park on the 22nd. We walked down through Gusted Hall Woods, through Scrub Wood and then along the river and across a couple of fields. The sun was out and it was lovely and warm as we bumbled along watching the boys having the time of their lives. We heard a couple of woodpeckers, watched a few squirrels, saw loads of tweety birds and even heard a cuckoo. It was a good start to the day…….
