On the 12th this week the boys and I took our usual route around part of Cherry Orchard Country park for our early mornings walk. Nothing exciting happened but I did get to see a few Jays along the way as well as the usual groups of magpies. I also found some more mushrooms along the way, Field Mushrooms this time.
On the 15th I was starting work later than usual so I decided to take the boys on a nice long early morning walk and South Fambridge was my location of choice. We love it along this stretch of the tidal River Crouch, that is Sharon myself and the boys, and I opted to walk left at the steps and venture along to Lovedowns Sluice which is around the 4 mile mark there and back. The tide was in so my puppers had and a good swim along the way, which is handy as they also like to run through the stinking muddy drainage ditches at the bottom of the seawall so having few swims in the river helps to clan them down. I saw a few egrets along the way as well as a lovely kestrel hovering close by as I strolled along the top of the sea wall. I also found lots more mushrooms along the way, especially some big Field mushrooms which I picked and took home for dinner. In all a lovely walk in fantastic surroundings.
